Hi! My name is Jason, 28 years old, and this will be
my first blog!
Me and my girlfriend, Shiela, 27, been talking about
summer tripping ever since our relationship has started. Due to our workloads
and time conflicts, at last! After 2 years, our plan has come to reality!
The first place we’ve ever stepped foot together (away from our home
town) is Iligan City. This place is known for its famous Maria Cristina Falls,
the falls that provides the main electricity in the City and one of the best
tourist spot in the Philippines!
We arrived in Iligan City 23rd of April, the
year 2015. We were filled with excitement as we were arranging our itinerary
for the whole week. This’ll be a fun full packed adventure!
We did jogging around the City’s Recreational Park.
Went to the public market and enjoyed shopping down the street with Ukay-Ukay
(Filipino term for that anything that’s used items coming from different
countries). Tried haggling (that’s what I consider the fun part of shopping) for
the items and succeeded!
Got my friends invited for the trip to the falls, and
since some of them already been to Maria Cristina Falls, we decided to visit
first the Tinago Falls, it is also a must-see place of Iligan City for its
natural beauty and exhilarating current of water ranging from the top of the
falls!
As you can see, going down the place is through a 436
steps of concrete stairs, it’s easy since you don’t have to use more of energy
and muscles stretching :D
Pleased our feet as we stepped in and indulged in the
waters of nature and the chance to witness the beauty and able to participate
in the cycle of life J
seeing birds, ants, fishes and other species enjoying the rawness and wonders
of mother nature.
As we
were enjoying the scene, we saw this little creature with multiple feet,
centipede. Captured picture of it as it seems to bring joy in my eyes.
The
chills I feel seeing the raft as we ride to the curtain of the falls Of course,
for safety precautions, we needed to wear a life jacket in case we’ll be swift
away by the water. And yes! It’s indeed a roller coaster ride for us who seldom
experience this!
We
didn’t lose the chance to have pictures with the rocks under and beside the
falls, we sometimes needed to hold ourselves up to balance to have a good
picture with it, and that’s a great experience! As if being one with nature.
We jumped off the falls’ cliff and dive into the water
and kept swimming under and seizing the day!
It
has been a quick yet memorable day to reminisce as soon as we needed to go
home, and bid goodbye to the place. It’s a journey and adventure I’m sure I’ll
love to remember and we promised to follow it with another road trip worth
remembering.
Now, we’ve got lists of places we would love to visit
and explore soon. Getting ready for it.
Will the experience and memories we had with our
first trip together be more spectacular with the next spot we will step in?
Isn’t the place worth visiting? You can message
me for the details on how to go there and experience and witness with your own
eyes one of the nature’s best!
